Extended Producer Responsibility
According to the definition reported by the Swedish Ministry of Environment, Extended Producer Responsibility [EPR] is an environmental protection strategy to reach an environmental objective of a decreased total environmental impact of a product, by making the manufacturer of the product responsible for the entire life-cycle of the product and especially for the take-back, recycling and final disposal.

Extended Producer Responsibility is the strategy that identifies the Producer, Importer, Brand Owner (PIBO) of the products as the entity that covers all expenses from the beginning to the end of its chain to make sure it causes minimal environmental impact.
